2021 Dog Daze
Rally – Yooper Edition
Saturday, August 21, 2021 Indianhead Mountain at Big
Snow Resort
Come join us for what promises to be a
fantastic day of riding in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan
(and Wisconsin and even a bit of Minnesota if you’re looking to stretch
your legs). Make new friends with similar interests. Catch up with
riders you haven’t seen in a while. This year’s Dog Daze Rally will be
unique... a 10 hour rally that will start and end at the Big Snow Resort
in Wakefield, MI. Rally riders will leave at 8:00 a.m. and return by
6:00 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21. Big Snow Resort will be our rally
headquarters for the weekend and is offering a “Stay 2 Nights and the
3rd Night is Free” promotion. Plan on staying Friday and Saturday night,
with an option for an additional night on either end.
Start and End: Indianhead
Mountain 500 Indianhead Road, Wakefield, MI (800) 346-3426
Friday Plan to arrive on
Friday afternoon. Rally staff will be there by 3:00 p.m. at the Sky Bar
building for checking in and any last minute registrations. At check-in,
you’ll sign a waiver and receive your rally swag. The Sky Bar will be
open for food and there is an outdoor deck, large indoor space and a big
parking lot for kicking tires and story-telling. A mandatory rider’s
meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m., at which time rally packets will be
handed out. You will have all evening to plan your route and rally staff
will be available for questions.
Saturday Rally time! The Sky
Bar will be open at 6:00 a.m. for continental breakfast and rally staff
will be available to answer last-minute questions. Another mandatory
rider’s meeting will be at 7:00 a.m., at which time any last-minute
details will be discussed. You will be free to launch at 8:00 a.m.
Return to rally headquarters before 6:00 p.m. Don’t be late! Anyone
returning after 6:00 p.m. will be considered a DNF, but welcome to join
in on the post-rally dinner and festivities. After returning, you will
be scored and we will be serving a “cook-out” dinner. The awards
ceremony will start at about 8:00 p.m. with trophies awarded to the top
5 riders. Plan to stick around and tell tall tales afterward.
Sunday Sunday is for whatever
you want to do. Bask in the memories of a great rally and have a
leisurely breakfast at the Sky Bar or take off on a non-rally mode ride
in this picturesque part of Michigan.
Entry Fee The entry fee for
the 2021 Dog Daze Rally is $65 for solo riders and $115 for two-ups.
Your entry fee will include a light breakfast on Saturday morning,
snacks for the road, dinner Saturday night, an awesome t-shirt and extra
(surprise) rally swag. Dinner Friday night or a heartier breakfast
Saturday morning will be available at your expense.
A well-equipped rally rider will need maps
of MN, WI and MI, a couple of pens, maybe a highlighter or two, a camera
(there will be photo bonuses) and a working odometer. A GPS will be
helpful, but is not necessary to have fun on this rally.

We are excited to once again offer a new
Dog Daze Rally as we start to move close to “normal” in the aftermath of
the Covid-19 pandemic. If there continue to be restrictions in August
due to the pandemic, we will revise rally rules to ensure proper safety
protocols are followed. Finally, we ask that you become familiar with
our rally rules prior to registering:
