Team Paula Rally Saturday, August 24, 2019 Announcing the 2019 Team Paula Rally! This is our chance to rally around our friend and fellow TeamStranger Paula Behm, who suffered a hemorrhagic brain bleed in September, 2018. After being hospitalized for an extended period of time, Paula is currently residing at an assisted living facility in the Twin Cities area. Paula hopes to eventually live independently again and is working hard on her physical, occupational, and speech therapy to make this happen. Since September, Paula’s family has been managing her hospital and care expenses. There are a number of expenses not covered by insurance and all proceeds from this rally will be used to help offset that gap. The Team Paula Rally is an 8-hour rally that will start and finish at ZZQ Smokehouse in Eagan. Cost for all this fun is $40 for solo riders or $60 for 2-up. Sponsorships will cover the cost of T-shirts, awards, and AMA insurance. This enables 100% of entry fees to go to Paula. ZZQ’s owner (Zak) will be serving up $5 breakfast tacos in the morning and will donate all breakfast money. Coffee, juice, and water will also be available. At the finish, order from ZZQ’s awesome barbeque menu while we score riders and then announce the top five winners. DETAILS Team Paula Rally Saturday August 24, 2019 Start and Finish at ZZQ Smokehouse 3390 Coachman Road, Eagan, MN START: 8:00 AM CDT FINISH: 4:00 PM CDT Rally packets handed out and short riders meeting at 7:00 AM CDT. 5-minute grace period with penalty points accruing at the finish. No photos bonuses. Camera not needed. There will be bonuses in Minnesota and Wisconsin. GPS coordinates will beprovided in the rally book, but riders are encouraged to bring paper maps and run this “unplugged” – addresses and directions to bonus locations will also be provided. Open class with awards going to the top 5 riders.
